“Ocean Rising III” — Call for Art
We are going to keep the theme going for 2026!
This year’s theme is water — you do not need to limit this to the ocean. Show us the snow piled in your yard from this very long winter, the ocean from last fall, or your expressions around water ways in this country. We cannot wait to see it all!
Of course, we are on board with #SavetheBay, and look forward to anything that references the waters around Aquidneck Island.

Submission Requirements:
Submissions: A maximum of 2 works per person may be submitted.
Fees: The hanging fee is $35 per artist – paid via PayPal to office@gallerysitka.com, Venmo to @sitkacreations or by check sent to Gallery Sitka, 2 Shaker Rd., D101, Shirley, MA 01464.
Submissions should be sent with the following items:
- 1 Word Document containing the following: Artist’s Bio, CV, Statement, and list of works. The list of Works should include: Title, Year, Dimensions, Medium, Statement for the Work, and Price Requested (Gallery Sitka will take a 50% commission – so the price should include the Gallery’s 50%.)
- Art Works: jpgs titled as follows: Artists Name_Title of Work_Size_Medium.jpg
- Submissions should be sent to office@gallerysitka.com
Specs for Art Submissions:
1 – Wall Art, Any Medium, up to 24” x 24” (including the frame)
Wall Art should be ready to hang — no saw tooth hangers, wired for hanging with enough slack for easy hanging, when the piece is on the wall, the hanger/wire should not show.
2 – Sculpture under 10x10x10 (sculpture should be able to stand on a column or table).
Submission Deadline: Midnight on Wednesday, March 18
