Description: Every so often, an idea for a painting comes into focus spontaneously as was the case with Ocean Oasis. I was remembering the rejuvenating experience of being oceanside: the colors, textures, sounds and scents. The timeless lapping of waves remains deeply reassuring. This painting distills those experiences symbolically into a small, beckoning oasis.
