PR: The Women of Jazz by Kate Shaffer

“Women of Jazz” features painted portraits of ten of the twentieth century’s most influential women jazz singers, including such figures as Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, and Etta James.

They are presented “mid-song,” explains Ms. Shaffer. “The open mouths are not just about the music, but also about their voices being heard in the world.”

This event is an online show of this series by Central Mass. Artist, Kate Shaffer. We will have a link with all the work that will go live the day of the opening, Saturday, June 6th at 10 AM. This will be followed by a list of online events for June and July.
