Description: “The idea for this sculpture came from a desire to create a sculpture that combined bronze with a green Verde marble core from the VT quarries. The core is a cylinder segment, something that the quarrymen use to sample and code the different marble caches in the quarry. The idea of creating space is a metaphor for opening my imagination to find a way to incorporate the different materials and new forms in one sculpture, the garden being the sculpture. Does it work? I leave that up to you, the viewer, to let me know.”
