Artist Biography

I have lived my life in pursuit of the creative. I studied music for many years, and initially explored visual art through the lens of a camera, and through various forms of fiber art.

Most recently, I am working with water-based paints and mediums, and am making paintings with acrylics, gouache, paint pens, and collage. I am particularly drawn to texture and color.

A dominant thread in my work is the concept of Land Escapes.  They are real places, and yet not. I enjoy creating imagined worlds inspired by nature.

I spent the first chapter of my life in Brooklyn, NY, and will always have a New York state of mind. That said, our long-time home in Lunenburg, MA, is alive with plants and pollinators, and I am grateful to be in nature, a constant source of inspiration.
