Description:

These cut-out shapes presented themselves as figures. The image turned into a snapshot of a time, a conversation, a gaze, a moment of silence, where there is an honoring of passion, and a barrier. Light surrounds each figure. In “Distant Pair 2,” the barrier dissolves a bit, softens. There is stillness, maybe peace, maybe buried longing or acceptance of what is present and what isn’t. There is an intimate witnessing and still a distance.
